Rebates are available from private health funds for most clients with ancillary benefits (extras) cover and from Medicare, for those with Chronic Disease Management (CDM) and Team Care Arrangement (TCA) Plan. Check with your GP if you are eligible for the CDM-Medicare-based rebate. We have attached herewith a letter for your GP, requesting to refer you under the CDM plan if you are eligible for the same. It will be helpful for you to read thoroughly the attached GP Referral Request Letter for Eligible individuals as it has information on the amount of Medicare rebate available for each dietetic consult. The Medicare rebate covers only a part of the fee. Please note that Medicare is providing some rebates under CDM and TCA currently for telehealth dietitian consults (under different item numbers), however, this may change in the future. We suggest you check with Medicare regarding an update/more information on this topic.
