
Dr Ko is a nationally recognised clinician-researcher, having received multiple awards including the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) research award for her ongoing research into gut disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the microbiome.
She manages all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, bowel cancer screening and surveillance, and iron deficiency anaemia. Her approach combines the latest knowledge in gastroenterology with personalised, patient-centred care tailored to each individual.
Dr Ko has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles and has presented her work at national and international gastroenterology conferences.
Dr Ko performs procedures at Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital, East Sydney Private Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and Martin Place Procedure Centre, as well as Canterbury Hospital in the public system. She has been awarded accreditation for performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE). In addition to her clinical work, she remains actively engaged in peer-reviewed clinical research and the advancement of gastroenterology.
