
Dr Gupta is a dual-fellowship-trained Interventional Endoscopist with extensive experience in interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), complex ERCP, Barrett's endotherapy, enteral stenting and endoscopic mucosal resection.
He provides comprehensive care across all aspects of gastroenterology, including iron deficiency anaemia, dysphagia, reflux disease, Barrett's oesophagus, eosinophilic oesophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), bowel cancer screening, pancreatic disease, bile duct disorders and general liver disease. His approach is to understand each patient as an individual while providing high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to their specific condition. He accepts referrals for all gastroenterology conditions and advanced endoscopic procedures.

Dr Gupta consults from rooms in Westmead and Macquarie Park, performs endoscopy at Macquarie University Hospital, and provides interventional endoscopy services at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO). He is formally accredited in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, EUS and ERCP by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE). In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in junior doctor and gastroenterology training and mentorship, with a keen interest in peer-reviewed clinical research and medical education.
